Jebel Katherina

Jebel Katherina, viewClimb Egypt’s highest mountain: the 2642m Jebel Katherina. We won’t take you up the normal way for this mountain, we’ll go via a back route that’s much better. We’ll walk in past Bedouin gardens and then go up Wadi el Ahmar: the Red Wadi. We’ll aim to sleep in small hut on the top of Jebel Katherina, watching the sunset and sunrise. In the morning, we’ll visit the Monastery of the Forty Martyrs in Wadi el Arbain, before walking back to town. Alternatively, you can carry on to Mount Sinai.
