Jebel Umm Shomer is the Sinai’s second-highest mountain at 2587m. We’ll climb the mountain in a day and then sleep by the ancient monastery of Deir Rimhan, at its foot. The next day, we can return to St Katherine or walk down to the coast in Wadi Isleh. This is a long wadi with a pretty canyon at the end where there’s a stream in some months. If you’d like to do the whole thing on camel back let us know and we’ll arrange one for you to ride.
